Who are the MSU College Republicans

»

The MSU College Republicans are proud to be the primer conservative group on campus. Some say that the Republican Party have lost its way, has become obsolete, and has lost the battle for the ideals of America. At the MSUCR’s we disagree with this assessment. We do feel that the 2006 and 2008 elections are a wakeup call and a reminder that absolute power will corrupt.

What we can take comfort in is the Republican Party lost due to our actions, not because of our ideals. It is time that we return to being the party of Reagan - Focusing on personal freedoms, a free market economy, a smaller government, and a strong national defense. The return to our core values starts now. Our Mission is to not only to be MSU’s conservative voice, but to help take action in defending our freedoms, liberties, and taking steps to ensure further prosperity through political action at all levels of government.

Through the MSU College Republicans you will be able to make a difference, make friends and contacts, stand up for what you believe in, and partake in MSUCR events. One of the common misconceptions of this organization is that we are comprised of only political science students. While they do make up the plurality we have many members from every university on campus. We are proud to have a diverse representation of students that is not due to a university or government mandate.
